Our next adventure was really andventure!! Matt found a bus in the Thrifty Nickel and decided he wanted to buy it and try his hand as recycling medal himself. Well he went down last Monday and bought the bus. After some research and a lot of phone calls Matt realized that he had 72 hours to get the bus to the mill before he had to register it, and he also found out that the driver did not need a CDL. So Monday night Matt, Lexi and I went to Firth to pick up the bus from a foul-mouthed old farmer!! We drove the bus home and parked it in our neighborhood over night and got up early the next morning to take the bus to the mill. I left in the car to go to Bountiful to pick up a sewing machine and then to meet Matt in New Plymouth after he left the bus. Matt’s plan was to make about $5,000 on this adventure given that the bus weighed 9 ton. One my way to pick him up I get the bad news, the bus only weighed 6 ton and they wouldn’t take it with out the battery removed and a hole in the gas tank! So luckily Mike Dimick Matt’s boss was headed to Utah with a load and agreed to drag the “ DANG BUS” into the mill and we broke even! Matt was disappointed, but he learned a lot!
The next adventure included me really wanting a dog! I know you think I’m crazy because I just had a baby, but I wanted to get one now so I could train her well so that my kids could have a great pet. Matt asked me to wait until we moved and I said I would try. Of course I didn’t want just any dog. I wanted an expensive on. So I got so excited when I found a Labradoodle (cross between a lab and a standard poodle) in Chubbuck. The lady wanted $600 but I thought I could talk her down. Matt was like I am not paying that for a dog. So I was sad but Iknew he was right we could not pay that for a dog. So the next day on KSL I found some in Blackfoot for $ 400 and I thought this is it!!! Matt still didn’t like the Idea. Then I looked a little deeper and found a lady in Utah who was selling one for $150. My first thought is what is wrong with this dog. I called the lady and she just said she wanted to get rid of it. So that’s where ZOE comes into our lives. We went to Malad to meet the woman on Wednesday and brought her home.
Our most recent vacation was to Island Park with the Sutton family for our annual cabin trip. We had so much fun. We mad crafts, we went for hikes, we walked by the river, we went to Mesa falls and most of all we spent quality time together. It was such a fun time. Thank you Tom and Ruth and the whole Sutton clan for another awesome vacation.
