Bridge where we stopped for lunch!
Lexi enjoying freedom from her pack!
Not sure what could be cuter than that face right there!
We are adjusting to life in Wyoming still, and counting down the days until we can move into our new home(7)! Last Friday was Matt's 24th birthday. He worked for most of the day and then we headed off on our camping adventure. We went just outside of Lander Wy ( about 20 miles) to Sinks Canyon State Park where the river actually "sinks" into a cave in the side of the mountain and disappears, then a half a mile down the road on the other side the river "rises" again. It is really cool. We also camped at the overnight a few miles above there at Worthen Lake. We had a quiet campsite all to ourselves, or we thought. It was beautiful and right on the lake. After a warm and toasty fire we decided to go to bed. We slept great until about 2 in the morning when some drunk guys decided they wanted to park their car down the road from our site and play their music really loud. I think I would have rather heard a bear. Matt and I both were wide awake praying for the best and scared for the worst. After probably and hour of "accidental" horn honking, loud music, and loud talking they finally were quiet, after about another hour I fell asleep. In the morning we awoke to find everything in good condition and they guys were gone! We woke up and had a not so nice breakfast since we forgot the bagels we had club crackers and cream cheese and then packed up camp and headed on our hike. We hiked to Sheep Bridge (about 3 miles in ) and had lunch there. It was beautiful, after that we hiked back out. We had a lot of fun. Lexi loved the hike and made sure to scare off every bear with her chatter. Zoe thought the hike was great. I think she probable hiked 10 miles after running ahead and then coming back to us and running ahead again. Needless to say at the end of the day we were all exhausted and had a lot of fun. To finish off Matt's birthday trip we went home dropped everything off and headed back to town to find a restraunt that would let us watch BSU football. After a few dissapointing stops we went to Pizza Hut, we were in luck! We watched half of the game before Lexi was ready for bed. We came home and put her down and went over to finish the game via radio from Mike and Beckys computer! What a fun weekend. Hopefully Matt enjoyed his birthday weekend, I know I sure did!
